Update: Tiles #1 and #14 have been revealed.
Below are two images, each blocked out into 16 sections. One purple, one yellow, both with something different hidden beneath. Your job is to scroll down this page and vote using the poll located on the lower right side. Whichever number has the most votes as of Monday, March 8th, that tile will be erased from both images and the contents underneath will start to be revealed.
Do you go for a center block, or maybe one of the corners? Which one could contain the most information towards figuring out what is hidden beneath? As a side note, each block will reveal something, so there are no wrong choices to be made.
Once this first poll has finished on Monday (most likely around noon CST), a new poll will be made minus that number, and we'll continue opening new tiles each Monday and Thursday thereafter, with the occasional bonus day at some point along the way. If the polling period ends and two or more numbers are tied, I'll just pick one of them at random and reveal that tile.
So scroll down, vote on the poll, and wait for the first reveal on Monday. Feel free to guess what the images may hide, both fully covered and as we reveal each new piece in the comment thread below.

With the move to the new community forums, all of the links from the old Official Character Thread had been broken, but no more! I've gone through and did my best to feature as many characters as possible that had an image, and separated them into multiple categories including Celebrity Remakes, Saints Row Characters, Other Game Characters (coming soon), and Miscellaneous.
Each thumbnail is clickable within the database and will bring you right to the original post containing information on what sliders to use in order to create that character within your own game, and some have gone so far as to include the clothing used for the specific characters as well.
We're still seeing dedicated individuals in our community posting up new characters and their slider values in the official thread, and I felt this was the best way to give everyone their time in the sun. If you'd like your character to be added to the official page, just post up a reply within the main thread with your slider values and hopefully a few screenshots, and it'll eventually be added to the current wall of individuals. Remember that without all of you, this reconfigured wall of characters would not be possible, so be sure to post up your newest creations!

Back in early August of 2008, I received a PM from community member yoyopop10 who asked if I could add a new section to the forums specifically aimed at those interested in expanding the lore of the Saints Row series. While I had never written a fan fiction pertaining to a game before, I saw no risk in giving it a fighting chance, so a section known as Stilwater Stories was born.
At first, it was more of an experiment, starting out with a story or two a week. Eventually more community members started to post up stories, bringing in examples from both games, elements from their personal lives, and even other community members. Today, Stilwater Stories boasts over 500 individual narratives, which is a feat in itself. While I can't call out each of the fantastic authors that have composed a Stilwater Story over the past year and half, I can point you to a few threads that might help start you in the right direction.
- Great Reads by Wetbizkit - While the links may be broken due to the recent forum move, it's still a great resource for finding titles of older stories that really resonated throughout the community.
- Stilwater Stories Top 10 by Yossi - Yossi has taken on the task of ranking all new stories written on a weekly basis into a mini list based on popularity within the community.
I want to personally thank each and every member of the Stilwater Stories crew. If you're reading this post now and haven't navigated your browser towards that section of the forums yet, then it's time to head to the fridge, grab a frosty beverage, and start clicking those links. You will not be disappointed.

Who here has a Saints Row 360 face plate? I bought one of eBay last year just to add it to my collection of face plates that make my entertainment center look both awesome and hideous simultaneously. They were created in a pretty limited run, but can still be found on various websites if you want one to adorn your console.
The reason I bring up a face plate from 2006 is due to an e-mail I received from a certain "LGB x Big Boss". Not content with having an awesome faceplate, or a 360 that looked like all the others floating around, he decided to go the extra mile and modify a 360 into something that belongs to be resting inside of your Purgatory HQ.
According to LGB x Big Boss, it took three days to prep, cut, paint, and put everything back together. He also mentioned putting some lights in behind the logos, but did not send pictures along of that. I'm a big fan of the gold grating behind the fleur de lis and the cover silhouette. If you have more questions for him, or want to bribe him to make a similar one to place next to your TV, you can talk to him on Xbox LIVE at GamerTag "LGB x BIG BOSS". Don't remind him that he's voided his warranty.

I've been waiting for a long time to use that animated GIF again. Worth every minute of waiting...
Ignoring my obsession with images saved from a Geocities website, we're going to be performing some maintenance to The Row, which includes moving to a new forum. We'll be transferring over all of the posts and your username will remain the same once we re-open the updated community website. More than likely you'll be required to set a brand new password, which is purely for security reasons. I highly recommend that all active members check to ensure that their e-mail address is the current one they want associated with their account which can be found in the User Control Panel.
We're planning to shut down the community site for maintenance starting on Monday, January 25th, but this date is subject to change. During the outage, you will not be able to login or access any of the information found on the community website, and it will likely take a few days to get everything migrated over and working properly. Once we open up the new community website, I'll have a thread open specifically within the Forum Feedback section asking for any bug reports and feature requests. There are quite a few upgrades that our community members have been asking for which will be integrated into the upgraded site, and I'll list them out once we've completed the migration. If you have any questions, please ask in the comment thread below.
